Sadie, Sadie; Hammers and Veils In the second-season opener, Lorelai considers a trip down the aisle in the wake of Max's proposal. To help provide some wedding perspective, Rory composes a list of the pros and cons of marrying the teacher as the gals decorate Stars Hollow with the daisies from Max's romantic gambit. Later, Lorelai flirts with visions of veil lengths as she surrenders to the lure of bridal magazines. Rory's own romance with Dean (Jared Padalecki), however, may lose its bloom as she starts the summer session at Chilton. When she volunteers for Habitat for Humanity and plans a slew of extracurricular activities, Dean starts to feel left out.  October 9, 2001

Rory then learns that her Romeo is Tristin, with whom she shares a shaky past, and Rory's boyfriend, Dean, is definitely not happy about the pairing. The Bracebridge Dinner Stars Hollow is aglow with holiday spirit in this festive episode. The Independence Inn is buzzing with preparations for a convention that is coming to town. The night kicks off with horse-drawn sleigh rides to get everyone into the holiday spirit. Lorelai and Rory are pleasantly surprised when Emily and Richard show up for the festivities. The mood quickly turns contentious, with Richard concerned that the vehicle may not be safe for his granddaughter to drive—even though Dean insists that it is. Season 3

Lazy, Hazy, Crazy Days
The Gilmore gals' love lives suffer some setbacks in the drama's third-season opener.
Lorelai is dealing with disappointment after her rekindled romance with Christopher is thwarted by his expecting ex. And Rory comes home from a summer in Washington, D.C., to realize she may still have feelings for bad boy Jess. The mother-daughter duo decide to forget their man troubles by heading to the first annual Stars Hollow End of Summer Madness Festival. But a chance encounter there makes Rory realize that Jess may have also expanded his horizons while she was away.

The Haunted Leg
RORY TELLS HER FATHER OFF — Emily ignores Lorelai’s  pleas to stay out of her love life, and tries to reunite Christopher  with his
family, resulting in an ugly confrontation between Rory  and her father. Meanwhile, Lorelai fights off the romantic attentions of the town geek, Kirk and Rory learns that Jess is angry that she
ignored him over the summer.
