From spiced:
it's Richard's 60th b-day and
his mother comes back into town, announcing that she's moving
back there. Lorelai teaches Emily how to handle her mother in
law. dean brings back some of Rory's things. there's a winter
carnival. Rory and dean have coffee (not at Luke's), trying to
be friends. there is more tension with the puffs and Francie at
Chilton. jess isn't going to go to the carnival till Rory runs
into dean and Clara, and then he decides to join them. jess and
dean get into another argument about dean trying to get back in
Rory's life. no fists though.
jess isn't really jealous, just wondering what dean's trying to
do. it's more like jess is very aware of how he got Rory and he
doesn't want to lose her the same way. he actually plays it very
cool with Rory. okay, not cool as ice, but still pretty cool.
From mrsvw:
Jess does confront Dean at the carnival about how
Dean's trying to be friends with Rory. Dean pretty much admits
that he wants to be friends with Rory because wasn't that how
Jess got Rory, by being her friend. Jess tells Dean that his
actions are "transparent". Dean finds Jess's protestations
amusing. It seems he wants to give Jess a little of his own
medicine, so to speak. Jess isn't jealous just angry. Maybe a
bit of his insecurity.
Jess is angry because Dean is trying to be friends with Rory in
order to try to "win" her back. Dean brings his sister, Clara,
to the carnival and of course she loves being with Rory and
wants to include Rory in with Dean and her activities.
Rory doesn't see anything wrong with going to the carnival with
Dean and his sister because she thought that Jess didn't want to
go.
From spiced:
Francie tries to undermine Paris, Richard's mother
comes and tells them she's moving back. Emily learns from
Lorelai how to handle her mother in law (the title refers to
that). and Rory and jess and dean and Clara attend the winter
festival.
From mrsv:
The difference between Rory/Jess and Rory/Dean is
made obvious in ep #10. When Jess talks to Rory about Dean and
the friendship-thing, Rory is honest with him, where she never
was with Dean when it came to Jess or Tristan. I guess she
learned her lesson or has grown up some.

Duel Purpose: Step aside, Lex Luthor. There are some new fencing
fanatics in Froggy town. This week, I had the pleasure of
speaking with Liza Weil, who plays Paris on Gilmore Girls, and
she had a little cutting-edge scoop: In a November episode, Rory
and Paris will be sparring--this time, with swords.
"It's going to get very competitive," Liza said, "and obviously,
they want it to look real. So, Alexis (Bledel) and I are doing
fencing training. It's a bit scary when your character's
supposed to be good at something and you've never done it
before! I've been able to start training a little earlier than
Alexis, though, because she has to be on set every day."
Sounds like Paris might have the upper hand.
Of course, fight scenes aren't the only action in Paris' future.
She also has a love interest for the first time this
season--Jamie, played by that delicious Brandon Brash. "He's the
best fake boyfriend I've ever had," Liza said with a laugh. "And
they've been really great in how they've dealt with it in the
writing. Now that she has this man in her life, this layer of
hardness is melting, and we've seen a whole new side to her,
which is nice. He's good to her--at least in the beginning."
Hmmmm...Could there be trouble ahead in Paris-dise? "I don't
know," she said, "but I'm sure whatever happens, Paris will most
likely freak out. I think I would have to check myself into the
hospital if I were that high strung."

episode #12.

episode: 3.12 Lorelai Out of Water
From mrsvw:
New spoilers for episode #12
should be coming this week. Actually, they stop filming the
third week of December and will resume filming after January
7th, I believe. So they should get finished with episodes 12 and
13 before there is a break. Of course that will have a bit of an
effect on the airing and of course the spoilers. We should be
getting reruns in December and January.
From mrsvw:
Rory and Lane talk about Jess and Lane does say she hasn't liked
him but will try because of Rory (kind of the same tone as
Lorelai). The two girls even mention a possible double date with
Lane/Dave and Rory/Jess.
From opossum:
Paris wants to get Rory thrown off the student council. Luke
teaches Lorelai to fish in her front yard in a wading pool. Luke
and Taylor get into a fight about construction on the Soda
Shoppe. Rory and Lorelai have to clean out the garage so Lane's
band can practice.

From spiced:
There is a Korean wedding and Dave plays guitar for it and Lane
tells her mom she wants to go to prom so her mom tells her she
can go with a Korean boy. Lane freaks out and tells her mom she
wants to go with Dave and all Mrs. Kim says is "he's not
Korean."
Nicole is the name of Luke's love interest and Lorelai goes on a
date with Alex in the ep. They go fishing and she and Luke have
a sweet scene where he shows her how to fish for her date
(unknowingly -- till she tells him she has a date) and Luke
makes the decision to go out with Taylor's lawyer.
Tthe episode with young Christopher and young Lorelai has not
been written yet, since they have not cast the younger version
of either of them.
episode: 3.13 Dear Richard and Emily
Script pages from episode 13: 1 2 3 (these are in .pdf format. You need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view.)
From Showfax.com: summary of episode 13:
1984: The Gilmore house is full of
activity; candles, flowers, and photographers everywhere, with Emily
overseeing it all. She asks the current maid if she's called Lorelai yet.
The maid answers that she did, twenty minutes ago, and [Young] Lorelai said
that she was still getting dressed. She asks if Emily wants her to go up
again. Emily says that she'll check herself. "I swear, you'd think it was my
coming out portrait, not hers, for the amount of concern she has about all
of this. Don't scratch the floor." Emily heads up the stairs.
Present: Rory and Sherry are at the hospital. A nurse comes in and asks who
Sherry wants in the delivery room when it's time. Sherry says that her
fiancée is on the way, but she and Rory both seem a little unsure on that
fact. The nurse asks what's going to happen if he doesn't get there in time,
and Sherry says that it'll just have to wait. Nurse says that will be hard
to arrange; once it starts, that's it. "Oh. Well, then I guess it's Rory."
Sherry says. Rory sits up straighter than she ever has in her entire life.
"Oh, absolutely," she says, trying to be a trouper. The nurse tells Rory
that she'll go get her a smock and some gloves so that she'll be all set. As
soon as the nurse exits, Rory bolts to get some coffee. Once out in the
hallway, she calls Lorelai. "Mom? They're giving me gloves!"
Present: Christopher says, "Are you kidding? You think I would miss this?"
He's talking about the delivery, apparently. Lorelai winces slightly when he
says this but nobody notices. Christopher and Sherry (who says she's in a
lot of pain and is on a gurney) head out of the room. Rory and Lorelai says
that they'll be waiting. Lorelai calls out for Sherry to have fun. Cut
immediately to…
1984: Young Lorelai is being wheeled on a gurney down the hall to the
delivery room. She's in a lot of pain. The nurse tells her to breathe
deeply, but Young Lorelai says that if she hits, pinches, or pulls the
nurse's hair that will make her feel better. Suddenly Richard and Emily
appear in the hallway. "Lorelai Gilmore!" yells Emily. Young Lorelai tells
the nurse to wheel the gurney faster. The nurse tells Emily that she needs
to wait outside, because they're going into the delivery room. Emily wants
to go in, but Young Lorelai says no and Richard agrees. "Fine. We'll be
right here when you're done." Emily says.
