Lorelai walked into the diner, which was empty except for Luke who was sweeping the floor.

"Need some help?" Lorelai said, startling Luke so badly that he dropped the broom on the floor.

"Lorelai."

"Sorry, didn't meant to startle you."

"What are you doing here?"

"I just wanted to come by and see you."

"Why?"

Lorelai looked at him strangely. "I need a reason?"

"You just don't usually come by at this time, that's all." Luke set the broom against the counter. "You want some coffee or something?"

"Okay." She took a seat at one of the stools by the counter. "Augh, this has been one long horrible day. Add dinner with Emily and Richard Gilmore, and it isn't any better."

He gave her a slight smile as he put on a new pot of coffee. "Well soon you'll have coffee and all will be right with the world."

"Aah, you speak the truth, my friend."

"Well, actually, this day could get even better." Lorelai said.

"How's that?" Luke asked as Lorelai got up from her seat and found a radio and turned it on.

"Dance with me." She told him.

Luke looked at her like she'd lost her mind. "What?"

"Oh, come on. It's not that big a deal." She stood there looking at him across the room.

"I, uh..." Luke shifted uncomfortably.

"You do know how to dance, don't you?" She started to get a slightly amused look.

He set the mug on the counter. "Of course I do."

"Well... come on then."

He stood in his position, glancing at her with a no-way expression.

"Come on, Luke."

Wonderful Tonight starts to play on the radio.

He walked closer to her and put his arms around her awkwardly. They began to dance. He began to sing along, without really realizing he was doing it.

"And the wonder of it all is that you just don't realize how much I love you." He looked into her eyes when he sang that part.

"Geez, Luke. You're really feeling that song huh? Oh and by the way, great voice." She smiled warmly at him.

"Yes, I'm really feeling that song." He gave her a look like, "Can't you see how much you mean to me?" and then he addressed her other comment, "Uh... thanks."

"You know what?"

"What?" He looked at her.

"This is nice."

"Yeah, it is."

"And you know what else?"

"No, but I assume you're going to tell me."

"I really have an urge to do something."

"What's that?"

"This." And she leaned in as if to kiss him, but instead grabbed his behind. He jumped in surprise.

"Why the hell did you do that?"

"Just felt like it." She snickered.

"Well, you know what I just feel like doing?"

"No, what's that, Lukey?"

"This." He pulled her closer to him and pressed his lips against hers. He used his tongue to part her lips and stuck his tongue in her mouth. Her tongue followed suit and they began dueling.
