"More coffee, please?" Lorelai pouted.
"No." Luke said sternly as he went into the kitchen.
Jess went around the counter and poured her another cup of coffee, "You never saw a thing." he whispered as he put the coffee pot back and went to take more orders.
Luke came back out of the kitchen and handed Kirk a plate of waffles, "Lorelai!"
"What?" Lorelai asked innocently.
"Did you go behind the counter?"
"Nope." she answered honestly.
"Then how did you get coffee?"
"Coffee fairies deliver."
"How did you get the coffee?" Luke answered again.
"I told you, the coffee fairy filled my cup."
"Jess!"
"Yeah Uncle Luke?" he said as he came over to the counter.
"Luke. Just Luke. Did you give Lorelai coffee? She's had eight cups since she got here, and God knows how many before she came, she doesn't need anymore coffee."
"Okay, I might've re-filled her cup, but you said to be nicer to the customers and serve them. I was just doing what you said."
"Luke needs to lighten up." Lorelai scoffed.
"I've got an idea, a magic trick would lighten him up." Jess smirked.
"A magic trick?" Luke asked skeptically.
"Yep. Be right back." Jess said as he went up the stairs. He came back down a minute later with a black cloth and handcuffs. "I need a lovely volunteer." he said, looking at Lorelai.
"Are you saying I'm lovely? Jess, I'm touched." Lorelai said sarcastically.
"Well, it was either you or Kirk."
Lorelai frowned, "Maybe I won't volunteer."
"Yes you will." Jess said as he latched the handcuff around her wrist. "Come here Luke."
Luke rolled his eyes, "I will have no part in this."
"I think you will." Jess said as he quickly grabbed Luke's wrist and latched the other handcuff around it.
Lorelai looked at her handcuffed wrist and to Luke's, "This never works in movies or on TV."
"Good thing we're not in movies or on TV, then isn't it?" Jess said as he moved Lorelai's coffee cup and placed the black cloth over their handcuffed hands...

jess: ok ready?
lor: oooh yea are ya gonna make the cuffs disappear?
Luke: oh brother
jess: no but I'm gonna make me dissapear

Just then jess bolts out the door.

Lor: wha-what the hell!!!
Luke: JESS GET BACK HERE
Lor: we have to go get him

as they start to run after him lor got caught by the table and luke tripped over a chair and she landed right on top of him inches from his face.

Lor: oops uh sorry
Luke: no prob. So uh I guess we should think of a rithym.
Lor: Oh really (she smirks seductivley)
Luke: maybe we should get up first though.
Lor: oh yea right. Me first then I'll help you..k?

Once they are up they try to break the cuffs and struggle.

Luke: hmm looks like we are stuck. That damn kid.
Lor: well get ceasar to watch the place and we'll go look for him maybe he has a key or something.
Luke: good idea.


"I told you this never works in movies," Lorelai complained. "It always turns out like this."

"Yeah, so what do the guys in the movies do next?"

"Well, uh... it's usually a guy. And a girl."

"Uh-huh." Luke regarded her warily.

"You don't want to know what happens next. Trust me."

Luke looked away. "Okay. Now what?"

"Well, I don't think we're going to be able to find Jess, so unless you have a magician up your sleeve I think we're stuck until he comes back."

Luke: so where should we go?
Lor: Hm well we could go to my house and I'll see if I have any keys that would work.

Luke: are you saying that you might have handcuff keys?

Lor: well..uh..maybe. Why is there a problem with that?

Luke: I won't ask.

They show up at lors house and she is looking through her misc. odds a ends drawer.

Luke: geez why on earth do you keep all this crap.

Lor: for occasions just like this one. OOH here it is. Ok lets give this a shot here.

Luke: uh it's not working.

Lor: thank you captain obvious.

Phone rings and they go through the hallway in an awkward way. lor backwards and luke forwards.

Lor: rory...hey I need your help....what?!?!...You can't leave me here like this....fine see ya tomorrow.

Luke: why didn't you tell her about the cuffs.

Lor: She ran into jess and he told her about it and that he isn't going home all night so there is no way we can get a hold of him. he said that if we were good then he will set us free tomorrow.

Luke: so why is rory going to spend the night at lanes?

Lor: that also was jess' idea and for some reason she agreed.

Luke: so we're stuck like this all day and all night?

Lor: yup. so you know what that means don't ya?

Luke: no

Lor: we have to share a bed.


"How are we gonna change without the other seeing?" Lorelai asked.

"Um, I don't think we'll be able to change our shirts." luke chuckled softly.

"I can't sleep in this bra!" Lorelai shouted.

"Well..."

"Can you help me take it off?"

"Are you sure you want me to do that?"

"Well, it's kinda hard for me to do it with us being handcuffed and all."

"Um... okay."

"Good thing the strapless bra was the only clean one." Lorelai laughed, somewhat nervously.
"Uh, why?"
"Because then we'd have my bra hanging from the handcuffs."
"Oh. Okay then." Luke said, obviously uncomfortable. This was *not* the scenario he pictured being in taking her bra off. Not that he ever pictured taking her bra off...
"Go on." Lorelai brought Luke out of his daze.
"Right." He brought their handcuffed hands under her shirt, along with his unhandcuffed hand. She shivered as the cold metal of the handcuff touched her back. He fumbled with the clasp until it finally came undone and he quickly removed his hands from under her shirt. Lorelai pulled the bra out from her shirt and threw it in a basket in her room. "Are you going to change out of those pants?"
Lorelai shook her head, "nah, these are pretty comfortable. Are you?"
"No, I'll be fine."
"Okay then. Do you want to go down and watch a movie?"
"Uh, sure." Luke agreed.

Lor: So let's say we watch the princess diaries.
Luke: NO

Lor: pleeeaase

Luke: NO

Lor: well this is my house and I can do what I want.

She gets up but doesn't get very far. Then attempts to stretch and pull towards the tv.

Lor: Humph you're no fun. So what do you want to watch?

Luke: Bull durham?

Lor: NO

Luke: Lets play a game then.

Lor: really (she smirks) what kind of game.

Luke: Oh don't give me that look I was thinking more of a board game.

Lor: oh ok what would you like to play

Luke: what'd ya have?

Lorelai: Well, um, I have Twister.
Luke looked down at the handcuffs.

Lorelai: Right. Um, maybe a game isn't such a good idea.

Luke: Pick another movie.

Lorelai: You pick the movie- I've already seen all the ones in there.

She stood up and started towards the kitchen, momentarily forgetting about the handcuffs. She fell on the floor, yanking Luke with her.

Lorelai: Oops.

Luke: You okay?

Lorelai: We've got to quit meeting like this.

(After standing up once again)

Lorelai: Could you, um, come with me to the kitchen? Because if we're watching a movie then I need junk-food.


Luke: oh no I don't think so.
He sits back down

Lor: WHAT If you plan to keep this arm you will to follow me into the kitchen.

Luke: You can't possibly jerk my arm off

Lor: I most certainly can to jerk you off.

Luke's eyes got as big as saucers

Lor: oh no that came out wrong.

Very carefully they made their way to the front door. Lorelai opened the front door to see Emily, of all the people in the world.
